Reviewing Scope for a work network
Scope (scopevote.com) is a free, nonpartisan voter-information site that compares a person's views with the public voting and speaking record of members of Congress. It is not affiliated with any party, campaign or candidate. More on the about page.
Web addresses the pages use in a visitor's browser
| Address | What for | Needed? |
|---|---|---|
| www.scopevote.com and scopevote.com | The site itself: every page, style, script and font. Our fonts are served from here, not from a font service. | Required |
| bioguide.congress.gov | Official congressional portraits (a U.S. government site). | Optional. Without it, portraits are replaced by initials. |
| vpwgsmxmlilaigomzoxe.supabase.co | Free account sign-in and saving results, for people who choose to create an account. | Optional. Every other page works without it. |
Lookups to other public services (Congress.gov, the FEC, the Census Bureau, Google Civic Information) are made by our server, not by the visitor's browser, so they need no network approval. Source links on the pages open the original public documents on their own sites.
